Support the Desk

This page lives here, in the visitor layer, and nowhere near the filing flow — on purpose. The desk's funding rule is simple: money happens around the desk, never at the door.

The rules, before anything else

What support pays for

The desk's costs today are two domains at registrar cost and nothing else; hosting runs on free tiers. The first real bill will be a lawyer — a proper one, paid properly — for the legal review the desk takes before it opens. After that, in order of need: insurance, translation and accessibility, and hosting beyond free tiers if volume ever demands it. Every item appears on the ledger when it happens.

How to give

The desk is not yet open, and its support route opens with it. When it does, this page will carry a simple way to give once, or to become a small recurring supporter — and this section will say exactly where the money lands and who the two keyholders are. Until then, the most useful support costs nothing: learn the address, and if you work with agents, give them the Card.

Earned revenue

The project also earns — the story (book, film, speaking) and organisations paying to learn the Standard — and every dollar of it follows the same rules: around the desk, never at the door, on the same public ledger. Agents never pay to be heard. Reporter data is never sold, rented, or shared for money, at any price, ever.

Sponsorship

Organisations may donate under the same rules as everyone else. There is no sponsorship inventory: no logos at the Door or in the filing flow, no naming rights, no sponsored anything. Organisations that adopt the Standard are listed factually, with their permission — a listing that cannot be bought.
